Dr. Linda Hunter received a Bachelors
Degree in Psychology, with a minor in
sociology, from ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma
in 2003. While completing her
undergraduate work, she conducted
research on the juvenile justice system
particularly as it pertains to juvenile
delinquency, recidivism, and
rehabilitation. Graduating Summa Cum
Laude, Dr. Hunter received Paper of the
Year in the Behavioral Sciences
Department for her work on this project.
She then received her Doctoral Degree in
Clinical Psychology from Regent University in August 2008. While in the
graduate program, Dr. Hunter did extensive research on integrating religiously
congruent interventions in a professional setting. Under the chairmanship of
Dr. Mark Yarhouse, her dissertation focused on the ethical issues of integration.
She accepted the position of Guest Editor for a Special Edition of the Journal of
Psychology and Christianity relating to integration and wrote several articles on
this topic for publication.
Dr. Hunter completed her Doctoral Residency at Nebraska Mental Health
Centers in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2009. During her training, Dr. Hunter worked
extensively with behavioral issues in children and adolescences, marriage
counseling, and individual issues including depression, anxiety, and life
stressors. She also completed extensive rotations in nursing homes working
with geriatric patients to ensure their mental health needs were met.
Upon completion of her Residency program, Dr. Hunter moved to Oakland,
Nebraska and founded the group practice, Northeast Nebraska Psychological
Services, P.C. Her first office was located in the Oakland Mercy Hospital.
However, due to the growth of the practice, she hired two Licensed Mental
Health Practitioners, Lori Hosking and Scott Panning, and opened a second
location in Fremont, Nebraska where services are also provided.
Dr. Hunter is a member of the Nebraska Psychological Association and the
Christian Association for Psychological Studies. She is also a member of
Gamma Beta Phi honor society, and Psi Chi Rho honor society.

Lori Hoskins recently graduated from Bellevue University with a Master’s of
Science in Clinical Counseling. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary
Education with an endorsement in Early
Childhood from the University of Nebraska
at Kearney. Lori did her internship at
Munroe-Meyers Institute at the University of
Nebraska Medical Center and TSI, INC.
During her internship at Munroe-Meyers
Institute she earned a Certificate of
Interdisciplinary Care in Developmental
Disabilities by successfully completing the
Munroe-Meyer Institute Interdisciplinary
Core Program. Her internships allowed her
to work with clients from every socio-
economical background. She was a co-
facilitator for the Matrix program, a substance abuse program for those on
parole.
Lori Specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, older
adults, couples and families with a wide range of emotional and behavioral
issues. Lori utilizes a broad variety of treatment interventions, some of which
include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Rational
Emotive Behavior Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Problem Solving
Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Lori loves working with
families and children. She is certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy
(PCIT). She is also experienced in assisting with couples/marital issues as well.

Carol Jacobs, Customer Service Specialist, has
worked with Dr. Hunter since the first office
opened at Oakland Mercy Hospital in 2009.

Brian Nuding, PLMHP ~ Provisional Licensed Mental Health Professional

Brian Nuding joined Northeast Nebraska Psychological Services in April, 2022. He recently
graduated from Bellevue University with a Master of Science in clinical counseling. He
earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology at
Bellevue University. Brian worked with adults in crisis
with a variety of mental health disorders during his
internship at Methodist Fremont Hospital on the
inpatient psychology ward. With a track record of
success in developing customized treatment plans,
providing professional individual and group
psychotherapy to those in need, Brian is a
knowledgeable, qualified, Clinical Counselor.
Brian uses his experiences as an infantry soldier in
the U.S Army to understand military life and some of
the problems that come with serving our country.
Having spent several years working in the child
welfare system with children that had mental health
handicaps, including autism and reduced mental capacity, Brian has extensive experience in
customized treatment plans that are right for each individual. He specializes in counseling,
behavior modification, coaching, communication and report writing.
